Compusa Retail Operations Ceases Usa

CompUSA announced Friday that after being acquired by an investment firm looking to sell the company's assets that they are ending retail operations.

Their 103 stores will remain open during the holiday shopping season and provide heavy discounts on products. The retail stores that don't sell will be shut down.

Other aspects of the company are being parceled out and sold as well.

But it reminds us that Mexico-based holding company US Commercial Corp. SA de CV should have never bought CompUSA, they should have stuck with what they know. Perhaps Home Depot or Lowes. Every time I drive by a Home Depot there are at least 15 Mexicans already waiting in the parking lot.

With the companies dismal loss of 494.8 million Mexican pesos last quarter on total revenue of 4.6 billion Mexican pesos one can only ask a single question. What can you expect from a company who's annual report is in pesos
